In Grevinge, app. 28 miles from Kalundborg we find Malergaarden, the painter’s farmhouse, which was the home for locally famous painter Sigurd Swane. The house was built in 1935, when the family moved away from Copenhagen to be closer to nature.
Sigurd Swane died in 1973, and today the house is an open museum displaying a home from around 1930 with many of his beautiful paintings on display.
Malergaarden also includes a wonderful garden with a spectacular view of Isefjorden (inlet). There is a nice café with facillities in connection to the museum.
